Summer is just around the corner!  Time to start planning and booking your summer camps for the kiddos.  Whether your child likes outdoor adventures, art projects, music, riding horses or all of the above, there’s bound to be a great camp option for them here in the Vail Valley.

Many of these camps offer day-passes or week-passes as well, so if you’re planning to visit the Vail Valley this summer and would like a fun camp day for the kids, these are great options!

WECMRD

Western Eagle County Metropolitan Recreation District has a full lineup of camp offering that range from three-hour sports camp sessions to weekly and full-day summer camps at three of its locations in Eagle County — Gypsum, Eagle and Edwards.

New this summer will be nine themes for the Rec Kids Summer Camps, including Amazing Race and Rec Kids Got Talent weeks. Also new this year, scholarships are available with 75 percent off for those that qualify for free lunch and 50 percent off for those that qualify for reduced lunch.  Visit wecmrd.org/camps to apply. WECMRD Rec Kids

Rec Kids camps run at all three locations for kids starting at age five to thirteen. Every week has a new theme to ensure your child has new experiences. Themes focus on recreation and educational enrichment. Parents have the option to sign up for an entire week, specific days and half-days to fit their schedule. CLICK HERE for 2018 Rec Kids schedule and to register.

Please note: Per state regulations, parents must fill out the required paperwork in the 2018 Rec Kids Parent Packet to be eligible to register. These forms require a physician’s signature so make sure to plan ahead. The state requires these forms be filled out every year, so even if you did this in 2017, we need forms signed in 2018.

WECMRD Sports Camps

The sports camps run at all three locations and allow your child to focus in on the sport of their choice, such as basketball, soccer, gymnastics, lacrosse, tennis, football, etc. Parents have the option to sign up for the entire week or specific days. VAIL RECREATION DISTRICT

The VRD’s youth summer camps feature hands-on learning about the natural environment, adventure-packed days including rafting and caving, arts and crafts, plus golf, gymnastics, ice skating and more. All camps fill on a first-come, first-served basis and early registration is encouraged. Camps provide children with adventure and learning experiences while enjoying the summer in Vail. Sign up for one day or for the whole summer! Discounts are available for multi-day registrations.
