26th Annual Vail Village Trick or Treat Trot
Wednesday, October 31, 2018 2:00-5:00pm
Get ready for Halloween fun! The Vail Recreation District will host the 26th Annual Trick or Treat Trot on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The Trick or Treat Trot is a great opportunity for kids (infants up to 10-year-olds, plus their families) to trick-or-treat through the streets of Vail from 2 to 5 p.m.
Starting at check-in booths in both Vail Village and Lionshead, costumed trick-or-treaters will be given a balloon and pointed in the direction of participating merchants. This popular event takes place rain, snow or shine!
A limited number of Trick or Treat Trot bags will be available at the Covered Bridge in Vail Village and by the archway in Lionshead on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags.
Don’t want your kids ending up with too much candy? Join in the Town of Vail’s Treats for Troops program! Drop off your leftover candy from Nov. 1 through Nov. 11 and it will be donated to soldiers and veterans. Click here for information on where to drop off candy.
In addition to the Trick or Treat Trot, the Vail Public Library will host Halloween Story Hour on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Get in the Halloween spirit early with the Vail Public Library’s Scarecrow Making Contest at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 and Pumpkin Carving Demonstration on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. For more information on Vail Public Library events, call 970-479-2187.
