Vail America Days Parade

10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Vail Village

The annual 4th of July parade in Vail is a must-do! A true summer traditional celebration complements all that Vail summer has to offer on and off the mountain.

The parade will begin at Golden Peak at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 and will wind its way through the villages, ending in Lionshead. Vail’s parade is one of the most popular events during the Independence Day holiday, so arrive early and take advantage of the free in-town bus system. This year’s parade theme is A Tribute to the 10th Mountain Division.

4th of July Bike Parade in Eagle, CO

11 a.m., Brush Creek Park Pavilion, Eagle

Decorate your bike(s!) and head to Eagle, CO for their 4th of July kick-off celebration- a Bike Parade! Get your American Pride on and decorate your bike in red, white! Meet up at the Brush Creek Park Pavilion and ride to Eagle Town Park, where there will be prizes, games and kids’ activities!  eagleoutside.com

Beaver Creek’s Independence Day Celebration

12 to 9 p.m., Beaver Creek Mountain

Beaver Creek celebrates America’s birthday with a full day of live music (courtesy of country star Tyler Rich—8:15 p.m. at Centennial Park—and other artists throughout the day), and a slew of kid friendly activities including bouncy castles, face painting, yard games, and more. Bravo! Vail’s Patriotic Concert

2 p.m., Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, Vail

Bravo! Vail’s Independence Day Concert features the Dallas Symphony Orchestra at Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater with classic patriotic tunes, FREE lawn seating, and conductor Jeff Tyzik leading the show. Tickets go on sale 8:00am July 1, and can only be purchased at the Gerald R. Vail Jazz at Lionshead

Where to View Fireworks

Gypsum

Last year Gypsum saved their July 4th Fireworks for New Year’s Eve due to the dry conditions that cancelled the annual summer display. The Town of Gypsum will be hosting this year’s fireworks display at Lundgren Theater at 9 p.m. Come early to claim your spot on the lawn and hear the sounds of “Denver’s premiere 90′s cover trio” JV3, and free hot dogs and ice pops before the show (7 p.m.). Bring some bug spray – this week the mosquitoes have been biting in the park lawn! townofgypsum.com

Vail Mountain

We are so excited, after the incredible drought conditions last year, to have had a rainy/snowy spring, leaving prime conditions for safe fireworks displays throughout the Vail Valley. Vail’s annual fireworks display is back and starts just as the skies turn dark (apx. 9:30 p.m.) over Golden Peak. Be sure to arrive early to get a good viewing spot. Or, be adventurous and kike up Vail Mountain from Vail Village near Gondola One for a great view! vailamericadays.com

Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek’s fireworks show begins at 9:15 over the slopes, following live music from country musician Tyler Rich at Centennial Park and a day full of festivities around Beaver Creek Village. There are plenty of great spots to view the fireworks in Beaver Creek, just make sure you can see the Centennial Run and they usually fire off right above that area.  beavercreek.com

Avon – July 3

The 33rd annual Berkshire Hathaway Home Service’s Salute to the USA in Harry A. Nottingham Park takes place on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 starting at 5:00 p.m.

Take part in the family friendly festivities going on throughout the park with face painters, fire jugglers, stilt walkers, balloon sculptors, magicians, and so much more! Hazel Miller Band will perform at 6 p.m. as an opening act for eight-time Grammy-winning reggae artist Ziggy Marley, who will take the stage at 8 p.m. Bring your blanket and enjoy festival style food; favorites from fresh squeezed lemonade and funnel cakes to mini-donuts and roasted ears of corn.
