It’s time to dust off those baskets and bust out your bunny ears. It’s Easter Egg Hunting time in the Vail Valley! There is no shortage of opportunities to hunt for eggs in our fabulous valley. Here is a list of where the bunny will be dropping the eggs…
Vail Easter Egg Hunt:
Saturday, April 15th 9:30am at Lionshead Village
Beaver Creek Easter Egg Hunt & Springfest:
Saturday, April 15th at 10:30am at Creekside Park
Performers of all types will light up the spring-themed stage throughout these two fun filled weeks. Kids can enter contests, take photos with our spring characters and join in parades while the plaza comes alive with theatrical performances, magic, juggling, comedy and more. For 2 weeks, celebrate all the kids who are out of school and on the slopes!
The 25th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, featuring over 5,000 eggs will be held on Saturday, April 15th in Creekside Park!
Eagle Easter Egg Hunt:
Saturday, April 15th at 10:00 am at Eagle Town Park
The hunt is divided into age areas and is open to kids 10 and under. Bring your basket and get ready to gather up eggs full of candy and toys. The Easter Bunny will be hopping around the park throughout the morning.
Following the hunt, the annual Eggernaut Competition is planned. Kids are invited to invent an egg protection contraption and their handiwork will then be dropped from the Greater Eagle Fire Departments 50-foot ladder truck. Egg apparatus must not contain any metal, glass or other material that may shatter upon impact. They must also weigh less than 5 pounds total. The eggs will be given to you at the start of the event and must be able to be removed or viewed after the drop.
The egg hunt is sponsored by the Batsons Corner Store and the Town of Eagle.
Gypsum Easter Eggstravaganza:
Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 9:30am – 11:30am Gypsum Library Lawn
The Town of Gypsum’s annual Easter Eggstravaganza will be at the Town Campus Lawn in front of the library. There will be age appropriate activities with prizes for each and every participant.
The fun begins at 9:30am with Toddler and preschool aged Easter Egg Hunt. Kids ages 0-5 will be provided an Easter basket by the town and released in groups of 20 in an area where they can easily grab filled eggs.
For the older kids, there will be a Scavenger hunt for age groups 6-12. Kids will be in groups of 8 and be given a group leader and a starter egg which has first riddle clue. Their Starter egg sends them on their journey to find the next egg with the next clue. Once they go through several clues they will reach the final destination and receive their prize.
The Easter Bunny will be available again for photos as well as a craft tent for fun creations to take home. The Gypsum Fire Department will host the annual Easter pancake starting at 9:30am.
In addition, Western Eagle County Municipal Recreation District (WECMRD) will be doing Eggquatics, an underwater egg hunt for awesome prizes in the following age categories: 0 -2 & 6 – 8 at 11:30am and 3 –5 & 9-12 at 11:45am.
