The Vail Valley has so many amazing events supporting local charities!  Lucky us, they all like to celebrate with creative FUN-raisers!  Here are a few you definitely want to mark your calendars for…

Annual Stock the Pantry Food Drive
Week of November 7, 2016

The 16th annual Stock the Pantry Food Drive will take place the week of Nov. 7 throughout Eagle County. Donation locations are at any City Market in Eagle County, Wal-Mart in Avon, Village Market in Edwards or Ridley’s Market in Gypsum. Bring food, buy food or drop off cash or a check. Tax receipts are available upon request.

Non-perishable items such as canned goods, rice, beans, pasta, cereal and juices are suggested and needed. Participants are asked to refrain from donating items stored in glass containers, items with expired dates or homemade food items.

All food and cash contributions will be distributed locally to food pantries operated by the Salvation Army. For cash donations, make checks payable to “Town of Vail” with “Food Drive” in the memo line. A tax deductible letter will be mailed for each check. In Vail, cash or check donations can be dropped off at the Vail Police Department records desk through Nov. 16.

UnVailing Party presenting the Vail Undressed® Calendar

Join the Vail Valley Charitable Fund in celebrating a new edition of the Vail Undressed® Calendar to mark their 20th anniversary! What 48 locals will be bearing it all this year?  Did you know nearly 500 local members of our community have posed in the buff over the last 20 years of this fundraiser? Join Saint Clare of Assisi for their annual Holiday Food & Wine Tasting fundraiser.  This year it’s being held at the elegant Maya Restaurant in the Westin Riverfront Resort in Avon.

There will be premium wines, food tastings, classical guitarist, silent auction and a wine pull for a chance to win a trip to Palm Springs!

Duchess Ride Fundraiser at BOL in Solaris
November 10, 2016

KIDS | ADULTS | COME ONE, COME ALL.  100% of proceeds benefit Duchess Ride’s winter youth development programs. These camps cultivate tenacity, camaraderie, and creativity in young girls. This winter they will be running three 6-week on/off snow camps featuring snowboarding, skateboarding and more. And one 12-week off snow camp called STRONG, focussed on girls self-awareness, identity and esteem.  Come out to support this great organization!

Vail Library Wine Tasting

Supporting your local library just became easy! Join the Vail Public Library for an evening of books, wine, hors d’oeuvres and laughter. Vail Public Library is hosting a wine tasting event, compliments of our local winery, Vines at Vail. Minimum donation of $10.00 suggested. Proceeds from this event will help fund library programs.
