Fright at the Museum is Walking Mountains’ annual family Halloween event! Join us to celebrate community and the season of spookiness while also raising vital support for educational programs that benefit the children, adults and families of Eagle County. Proceeds from the event are used to enhance and expand Walking Mountains’ programming so that even more people can participate and benefit from our unique, hands-on science education in the future.

Join us for this wonderful Trinity tradition! Free and open to the community, Trunk or Treat is a safe event for the whole family! There will be food, fun and activities for everyone.
If you are interested in participating by making your own trunk, please contact Pastor Nikki Kohrmann at 970-331-2315. The deadline to sign up your trunk is Sunday October 20th. Once you sign up, Nikki will be in touch with you about set up and other details. One new change for this year is that the church will be providing all the candy!
You can also volunteer your time by providing chili! We need 4 volunteers to donate a large pot of chili. This can be frozen and given to Nikki ahead of time or brought fresh the day of. Please contact Nikki if this is something you are interested in!

Guests can follow along our spooky stroll throughout the base of the mountain or enjoy music games and trick or treating in the village any time between 4:00PM-7:00PM. Finally, we’ll finish off the evening with a showing of a classic Halloween movie beginning at 7:00PM.

Stop by Town Hall for some candy, and to enter our kids costume contest. Our Halloween decorating contest judging will also take place during this time. Prizes will be issued for first, second and third place (for both contests). You do not need to apply to enter the decorating contest. If you decorate your home or business, you are automatically entered. Winners of the kids costume contest will be selected that night, and will be contacted to receive their prizes.
Vail Trick or Treat Trot

Get ready for Halloween fun! The Vail Recreation District will host the 27th Annual Trick or Treat Trot on Oct. 31. The Trick or Treat Trot is a great opportunity for kids (infants up to 10-year-olds, plus their families) to trick-or-treat through the streets of Vail from 2 to 5 p.m. Starting at check-in booths in both Vail Village and Lionshead, costumed trick-or-treaters will be given a balloon and pointed in the direction of participating merchants. This popular event takes place rain, snow or shine! A limited number of Trick or Treat Trot bags will be available at the Covered Bridge in Vail Village and by the archway in Lionshead on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags.
