Vail Rec District Krueger Family Shamrock Shuffle

The Krueger Family Shamrock Shuffle is the final race in the four-part Bloch and Chapleau Vail Grail Winter Race Series. The seventh annual Vail Recreation District Krueger Family Shamrock Shuffle 5K and 10K races and the kids’ 1K fun run will celebrate all things green in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day! Taking place on the Vail Nordic Center trails, the event includes race categories for snowshoes and Yaktrax, as well as a non-prize-eligible running shoe category.

All races begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, followed immediately by a lively post-race party at the Vail Golf & Nordic Clubhouse.  

Snowshoe rentals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis donated by the Vail Nordic Center. Prizes will be given out to the top three women and top three men in both the snowshoe and Yaktrax 10K race categories. A free raffle for all racers will complete the fun with great prizes from local businesses as well as nationally-known brands.

Beaver Creek Snowshoe Series Race #3
March 3, 2019

The final race of the Beaver Creek Snowshoe Series will take place on March 3th at the McCoy Park Nordic Center at the top of the Strawberry Park Chair Lift. Awards will be awarded for the top man and woman in each age bracket for the 5K and 10k races, as well as the top overall male and female competitor for the 5K and 10K races. All athletes will be entered into the raffle at the post party where you will also receive a post race meal. 10:15AM Start!
